  • Do I have to book in advance?
    Please book in advance to secure your spot at our studio! If you are redirected to a waitlist when trying to book, this does mean we are booked out for that session and you will need to join the waitlist if you wish to be notified of a cancellation.
  • How much does a class cost?
    Our adult sessions range are generally $55, depending on the length of the class. Kids aged 5-8 have a one hour session, costing $30. Kids aged 9-13 have a two hour session, costing $40. Private bookings are available for $60 per person.
  • How long are the classes?
    Our classes range from 2.5-3.5 hours, depending on the painting. It may sound like a long time, but time flies when you're having fun!
  • When should I arrive for my class?
    Please arrive on time, or up to ten minutes before your class! If you will be running late to the session, please let us know as soon as possible.
  • What should I wear to the class?
    At Studio De Vin we do have aprons for you to wear, however we know that accidents can happen! So we suggest wearing something you wouldn’t mind getting a little paint on.
  • How old must I be to come to a class?
    Our adult classes are generally 18+, however if you wish to bring your child with you, please let us know. If someone under 18 wishes to attend an adults session, they must have a parent or guardian in attendance with them as we are a licensed premises. There are kids classes that are generally run on Sundays and are alcohol free events. Parents must be in attendance.
  • Must I paint what the instructor is painting?
    Not at all! We like to embrace creative freedom, and encourage you to paint whatever you feel! Please feel free to experiment with your own colours.
  • What if I can no longer attend my booking?
    Please let us know if you no longer wish to attend your booking! We understand that life happens, so if you find you can no longer attend a session we ask that you let us know within 48 hours of the scheduled class. A $25 cancellation fee will apply for cancellations within the 24 hour period. We do not provide refunds for no-shows. Store credits are available for certain circumstances, this does not apply to changes of mind.
  • Can I book a private party?
    We love hosting private parties! There is a minimum of 10 people needed to host a private session, with the cost being $60 per person. If you have less than 8 people, we find it is generally more fun to book a public class. Please feel free to email us to hear more about what we can provide for you. You don’t even need a special event! We are happy to cater for any occasion.
  • What is included in the cost of the session?
    Here at Studio De Vin, we like to provide everything for you. You will be provided with a canvas, the paints, paintbrushes and aprons. The painting and canvas will be yours to take home!
  • Can I purchase drinks there?
    Yes! While we do recommend purchasing ahead of time, we do know that sometimes ‘one glass’ doesn’t mean one glass. We proudly serve local wines, ciders and beer for purchase.
  • Can I sit with my friends?
    Of course! If you book in a group, you will be automatically seated together. If booking seperately, please make a note in your booking of who you would like to be seated with.
  • I have plans to go out afterwards, but don’t want to take my painting!"
    Your canvas is yours to take home when the class is over, but if you are unable to take it right away you are welcome to leave it at the studio for up to 7 days.
  • I don't drink alcohol, may I still attend?"
    Of course! Drinking is absolutely not necessary to enjoy the night, and we have non-alcoholic beverages available for those who do not wish to purchase alcohol.
  • Do you do kids parties?
    We sure do! They require a minimum of 8 children, at $45 per child. You will have the Studio for two hours, and of course may bring a cake! They may choose a painting of ours to complete, or request a custom painting! We now offer some kids packages that include food and drinks, please email us to find out more.
  • I'm trying to order a platter, but it's not working!"
    We do recommend trying to order your platter on a desktop, as it does work much better. It will tell you 'Pick Up In One Day', but please disregard this. Please enter what session and time you would like this platter for and it will be arranged for that booking!
  • I want to do a private session, but your Studio is booked out. What can I do?"
    We do offer offsite bookings, so that no one misses out! Offsite bookings are $65 per person, and do incur a travel and set up fee based on location. It is up to you to organise the location of the booking, but we bring everything needed for a great time!
